- Engine Diagnostics: Read diagnostic trouble codes when you have a check engine light on. View car sensor data in real-time like speed, RPM, engine coolant temperature, O2 Readings, Mass air flow, Throttle position, Fuel Trim, etc. (depending on what your vehicle supports). Note: ABS, SRS, or Manufacturer-specific PIDs such as transmission temperature may not be supported.
- Compatible with cars and light trucks made since model year 1996 in the United States, 1998 in Canada for generic OBD II functions. Note: PHEV and EVs require special Apps and not all of them are supported: please check if there is a suitable connection profile in Car Scanner ELM OBD2 App.
- A third-party App is required (not included). Compatible with OBD Fusion, Car Scanner ELM OBD2, FourStroke, Infocar, etc for iOS, and Torque Lite/Pro, Car Scanner ELM OBD2, Infocar for Android.
- Compatible with iOS & Android devices via WiFi (no Bluetooth connectivity). Comes with one-year replacement warranty. Note: It creates a WiFi network for your phone/tablet to connect (the WiFi network has no internet access; please stay connected to the network when using the device); the power indicator light is invisible so please check the WiFi list for working status.
- Note: this is a generic OBD2 adapter and not an ENET WiFi Adapter, so it’s NOT compatible with BimmerCode, BimmerLink, MHD, BimmerGeeks ProTool, etc.

Note:
1. The device requires a compatible third party App or software to work (some are free and some are paid) and the App prices and features are decided by the App developers. Please see recommended Apps in the user instructions (can be viewed or downloaded from "Product guides & documents on the Amazon product page).
2. It creates its own WiFi for connection to iOS or Android devices. It does NOT have Bluetooth. Please check the WiFi list on your device to connect.
3. Please remove it from the OBD II port when not in use or your vehicle is turned off.
Recommended iOS Apps: OBD Fusion (paid), Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (free, recommended), FourStroke (free), Infocar, OBD Auto Doctor, EOBD Facile, etc.
Recommended Android Apps: Torque Lite/Pro, Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (free, recommended), Infocar, etc. Please set to WiFi as connection type, IP 192.168.0.10, Port 35000, which is the same as the default settings in most Apps.
Incompatible Apps: BimmerCode, BimmerLink, MHD, BimmerGeeks ProTool, Carly, Carista, etc.

With this device and an OBD App, you can access a whole new world of information about your vehicle directly on your phone or tablet, such as Engine coolant & oil temperature, O2 Readings, Mass air flow, Fuel Trim, etc. (Excluding manufacturer-specific PIDs)
The VP01 creates its own WiFi for your phone or tablet to connect. It is recommended for iOS devices like iPhone and iPad. The VP01 also works with Android & Windows devices but you won't have internet connection for other apps. We recommend VP11 or OBDCheck BLE (Bluetooth versions) to use with Android if you want internet access during use.
